Punjab won 1-0 against Croydon FC in the SCEFL Challenge Cup thanks to a goal from Ryan Hayes via some brilliant team football. Following this win, Punjab are finally ready to start a fresh winning streak, and the first stop on the track is a home game against Sutton Athletic.
Sutton are coming off an absolute goal fest, a 6-1 away victory over Greenways FC in the SCEFL Challenge Cup. Sutton currently sit 12th in the Premier Division, so it will be exciting to see how they can channel this forward momentum into Saturday’s game.

Sutton Athletic Football Club, established in 1898, is one of the oldest clubs in the Kent County Football League, with over a century of history deeply rooted in the Sutton-at-Hone community. Many players, managers, and committee members hail from the village, maintaining a strong connection to the club's legacy. The club’s foundation of community involvement and commitment remains as strong today as it was over 100 years ago.
With a large and competitive squad of around 60 players, Sutton Athletic fosters healthy competition and strong team ethics. The club continues to grow, with the development of youth teams, new Academy sides, and its first-ever veterans' team. Off the field, the club serves as a vibrant community hub and a fantastic location for sports.
Recent years have seen notable achievements, including a memorable FA Cup run in 2019/20, capped by a 6-0 win over Ashford Town, and promotion to the Premier Division in 2021/22 after a dramatic play-off final in front of a record crowd. Competing at Step 5 for the first time, the club finished a respectable 14th in 2022/23 and remains focused on continued progression under the leadership of Ryan Huckle.

The nearest train station to Punjab United is Gravesend. You can then either get the bus which takes 30 minutes or get a taxi from the station which takes 11 minutes.
