Captain Dawson to remain at Punjab United for the 2024/25 Season

Punjab United are delighted to announce that midfielder and club captain Lea Dawson will be staying at the club for the 2024/25 season.

Dawson joined the club from VCD in 2022 and since then has made a number of appearances for the club, accumulating 38 appearences last season, scoring 6. Some of his most remembered goals include his long-range strike vs Whitstable in the 2022/23 season and his strike vs Tunbridge Wells last season!

Lea Dawson expressed his happiness about continuing with Punjab saying, “I’m thrilled to remain with the team. Since I joined in 2022, the support and hospitality from the people behind the scenes and the management have been exceptional. This season, I genuinely believe we have the quality needed in every area to compete for the playoffs and potentially achieve more in other competitions. I aim to contribute by scoring and assisting goals, helping us reach those goals.”

Manager - Chipie Sian: "Ever since I signed Dawson, he's been someone I could always rely on. He would die for the badge and do whatever it takes to win. He's a great leader on the pitch as well as off the pitch and I'm hoping this year again he can lead the team and hopefully achieve our goal of the playoffs."
